REFUND AND COURSE CHANGE POLICY (EXCLUDING SUMMER CAMP)

To ensure fair access to our programs and support the sustainability of our operations, the following cancellation and course change policy applies to all classes, workshops, and events:

Notice Requirement
Cancellations and course change requests must be submitted at least 14 days (2 weeks) prior to the scheduled start date of the program or event.
Refunds and course credits
-
Cancellations made with 14 days’ notice or more are eligible for a refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
-
To avoid the 10% hold back, course credit can be requested instead of a refund to be used for a future class. The same notice requirement applies to course credit requests as refund requests.
-
Refunds will be processed within two (2) weeks of receiving the cancellation request.
Late Cancellations
Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the scheduled start date are not eligible for a refund, except in cases of approved emergencies (see below).
Emergency Exceptions
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur. Exceptions may be granted for emergencies, including but not limited to: Serious illnesses or injuries; family emergencies; other significant, unexpected events considered on a case by case basis. Documentation may be requested. Approved emergency cancellations will receive a refund minus the 10% administrative fee or, if requested, course credit avoiding the 10% fee.
How to Cancel OR SWITCH CLASSES
All cancellation requests must be submitted, by email, to: refunds@buttonfactoryarts.ca
OTHER REFUNDS
Memberships are not eligible for refund or credit. Consignment store and gallery purchases are final sale. Art material purchases are final sale.

ORGANIZATIONAL CANCELATION POLICY
Button Factory Arts Centre reserves the right to cancel programs. In the event of a program cancellation, students will be given the option to receive a full refund, or as a credit for future purchases. If a single session of a multi-day or multi-week course is cancelled by BFAC due to instructor illness or weather, if possible, the date will be rescheduled. If the program is advertised with a reserved cancelation date (rain date), that date will be used if at all possible, and if advertised with that date, no refund will be granted if participants cannot attend. If the cancelled date cannot be rescheduled or if the rain cannot be used and another date is chosen, if participants cannot attend, the cancelled portion of the program will be refunded.

SUMMER CAMP
Summer camp has its own cancelation and other policies. They are reviewed and updated every year. Please visit the policy section of the camp overview page for current information.
