Shift*ing Perspective is a series of Expressive Arts Therapy workshops for Healthcare Practitioners working or living in Cambridge. Workshops are open to all healthcare workers - nurses, personal support workers, disability support workers, long-term care staff, mental health workers and are facilitated by Expressive Arts Therapist Catherine Mellinger.
This 4-week workshop will explore all things collage, using analog cut-and-paste techniques along with a few surprises in the mix. Collage offers us an opportunity to play with making choices, keeping and throwing away, covering and uncovering. We will explore notions of nuance and layered emotional experiences as well as how we can simplify in order to amplify. All abilities welcome. Scissors will be provided but participants are also welcome to tear or crumple materials if scissors are not feasible to use. No previous experience necessary.
Fully online program. A short intake form will be emailed after registration.
Staff will connect by email during business hours before the next class start date. A Zoom meeting link will be sent along with course information via email prior to the start date.
If this class is full and you'd like to be added to the waitlist, please email us with your name, email, phone number, and course code. If you need any further assistance, please contact the Program Director: programs@buttonfactoryarts.ca
