Mokuhanga means "woodblock print" in Japanese. This traditional Japanese printing method emerged in the 17th century. Today this technique is being explored by many contemporary printmakers.

In this advanced course, all basic procedures for preparation, carving and printing will be reviewed and demonstrated so beginners are also welcome! Students from previous courses will be challenged to create a new and more complex colour woodcut print. Participants are asked to bring an image for reference. A simple image is preferred. Fully In-person program for ages 14+.
