Where can I park?

There is free 2 hour parking across the street by the Paul Puncher Menswear store.  There is also parking available for a fee in the parkade next door.  There is a post in front of the Button Factory where you can lock up your bicycle.

Is the building Wheelchair Accessible?

Our main floor is accessible via a ramp along the left side of the building.  Please ring the buzzer and a staff member will open the door for you.  Unfortunately, the second floor is only accessible by stairs.

How do I register for a class?

You can register for a class by dropping by, website, or phoning Button Factory Arts. Payment of the program fees ensures a spot in the class. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Interac (debit), cash or cheque in person; registrations paid with credit card can be completed over the phone. Note, medical and photo permission forms are required for youth programs.

What happens if I register and the class is cancelled?

If  we don't meet the minimum enrolment for a program, we will notify you before the scheduled start date and will issue a credit or refund if there is not another comparable program that works for you.

Are there age recommendations for classes?

Unless it is specified in the class description, adult programs are recommended for individuals aged 15 years or older.  Youth classes are usually divided into ages 5-9 and 10-14, though special accommodations may be made.

Do you really make buttons at Button Factory Arts?

Button Factory Arts is now a lively arts centre offering classes, exhibitions and a gift shop where local artists sell their work! Though we don't make traditional buttons any longer, we do make pin-back badge buttons with artistic designs which are available in our Gift Shop and for special orders for your business.  Please see the history page for more information about this historical building and its button production.

Can I rent the Button Factory for my event?

Please see our rentals page for more information.
